Are you currently on Parole? Are you having difficulty with your Parole Officer? Have you received a violation report? Have you been told you have an active parole violation warrant (AKA a Blue Warrant)? Are you or is your loved one currently sitting in a local jail awaiting an administrative revocation hearing to determine what will happen with his or her parole?
If you are having difficulty on parole, call me now. I can help.
Because the parole hearing and parole revocation process are administrative, much of the typical constitutional and due process rights do not apply at all or apply in a different way than is typically the case for a criminal trial on the merits. There is no separate formal record, there is no appealing the decision in most cases, and the proceedings are far more informal than in the typical courtroom.
Of course, if you have a warrant you must turn yourself in. The longer you wait to do so, the more likely the parole hearing officers and, ultimately the parole board or some subdivision of it, will assume the worst and label you an absconder. Once you are arrested or turn yourself in, various parole officals will come down to the local jail where you are being held to conduct the parole revocation hearing. These will include a parole officer to submit evidence of the allegations in the Violation Report and another official to preside over the hearing.
WHY HIRE A LAWYER
It is true that many choose to represent themselves at these hearings. This is a mistake. The officers who conduct these hearings have done so many times, they have a process, they know the procedures, and you are simply a file number, another in the line of cases to be processed. I can put a human face on the case, let the parole officials understand what really happened and who you really are so they can distinguish you from the average parolee.
While no lawyer can or should guarantee any particular outcome, your best shot at the favorable outcome out is to have a lawyer standing next to you, against the powers of the State brought to bear down upon you in an informal, poorly regulated, process.
This issue is too important to risk doing it yourself. Call me today and let me help you put forth the best arguments and secure for you the best outcome possible given the facts and circumstances at the hearing and in the violation report.
